TX FLYSPORTS powered paragliding school was founded in 1999 by Andy McAvin making it the oldest full time school in Texas with over 300 graduates. Andy has been flying ppg since 1997 and with over 4000 flights and several thousand hours, he is by far the most experienced pilot and instructor in Texas. Over the last 10 years he has been paid to travel to such diverse places as the UAE, Hawaii, Belize, and others to instruct and train. He currently holds a USPPA tandem instructor rating.
Before making ppg his full time vocation Andy made a living as a professional actor. He appeared on the Broadway stage twice, and toured around the country for 20 years appearing in theatrical procuctions. He is a well known voice talent in animated films, (Wikipedia), and has appeared in hundreds of tv commercials.
